Why

From 7 – 9 October, Australia’s logging corporations will gather in Canberra to spin another chapter in their decades-old story of endless destruction of native forests while pretending they still have a social licence to log.

We won’t let them go unchallenged. On 8 October, we’re taking action with friends from different forest groups at multiple locations in Hobart, Canberra, Sydney, and Coffs Harbour to say clearly. There is no social license for native forest logging. Protect native forests now!

The truth is, support for native forest logging collapsed decades ago. Most Australians want it ended, including 80% of Labor voters.

In a climate breakdown and extinction crisis, forests are not a PR problem to be managed; they’re ecosystems that must be protected.

Join us to protest in Sydney, outside Forestry HQ. Dress as your favourite forest animal or bring a hand-painted banner.
