Why

The Geelong Cup serves as a “Melbourne Cup Golden Ticket” event, as the winner of Geelong Cup is automatically granted entry into the Melbourne Cup. The stakes are high and the horses are forced to risk their life.

Join us for a cruelty-free picnic and let’s demonstrate to the racegoers how it’s perfectly possible to have a good time without supporting animal abuse!

  • Where: Meet at the main entrance to Geelong Racecourse
  • When: Wednesday 21 October 2026 10:30am-1pm
  • Conduct: CPR events are strictly non-violent. We advocate for compassion and that’s what we must display in all aspects of our appearance.
  • What to bring: Appropriate clothing for the weather & if possible, a plate of cruelty-free food to share.
  • Placards and banners will be provided.

Thank you for being a voice for the racehorses!
