Why
Join Central Coast Friends of Palestine as we gather on Guringai (Guri-Ngai) Country to mark a somber and critical milestone in the Global Day for Gaza.
For 3 years, the genocide in Palestine has continued. As we witness the ongoing suffering and the daily reality of apartheid, we must continue to show up, raise our voices, and demand action. This is a day of global solidarity, mourning, and unwavering resistance.
We call on our community to stand with us. We will not be silent while the genocide continues. Our Silence Normalises Genocide.
Our list of demands is:
- We demand that the Australian Government sanction Israel
- We demand that the Australian Government end all weapons trade
- We demand that the Australian Government place sanctions on the illegal settlements
- We demand justice for all Palestinians and Australian aid worker Zomi Francom
- We demand the dismantling of the apartheid regime
Community Picnic:
We will also have a community picnic as part of the gathering. We encourage all attendees to bring something to share with the group (food, snacks, or drinks) so we can share space, care, and solidarity together.
We ask that any food, snacks, and drinks brought to share are in line with the BDS movement. Please avoid products made in Israel or produced by companies complicit in the occupation and apartheid, and check labels where possible.
Bring your family, friends, flags, signs, and something to share for the picnic. Let us unite for justice and dignity.
