Many people care deeply about our Park Lands and public spaces but feel uncertain about getting involved because they don't understand their rights, responsibilities, or the legal framework surrounding peaceful protest.
This training has been created to help people feel informed, confident, and empowered when participating in peaceful, non-violent community action.
Come and learn about your options, understand your rights, and discover how you can contribute safely, responsibly, and effectively as part of a strong, united community presence.
This session will cover practical considerations around non-violent protest, safety, understanding your rights and responsibilities, and the different levels of participation available.
Our aim is not confrontation. It is to build a calm, informed, respectful, and coordinated community response that allows people to stand together peacefully in support of the causes they care about.
"Our collective strength comes not from a small number of people taking risks, but from a large number of people standing together with clarity, confidence, and a shared commitment to protecting the places we care about."
