Why

Curious about why people risk arrest for climate action? Meet some of the 40 everyday South Australians who've been arrested at Rising Tide's blockade of the world's largest coal port.

The evening will kick off with some warming soup (gluten free and vegan options available) and time to chat with new and old friends.

We'll screen Turning the Ship, our 30min doco about the passion and drive of Rising Tide and the extraordinary 2024 People’s Blockade. The highs, the lows and the triumphs!

Following the film, a panel of SA climate arrestees will share their motivations for taking action, their experiences at the blockade and answer your questions.
