Why

This week, we will begin Leon Trotsky's The Revolution Betrayed: What is the Soviet Union and Where is it Going?

We will be reading from the Marxist Internet Archive edition.

This week, we will discuss the the following sections:

  • Introduction
  • Chapter 1: What Has Been Achieved

We will also talk about the historical context of the work, and the biography of Trotsky.

Pre-reading is highly encouraged, but not essential. It's more about the discussion

Once we have completed this series we will discuss and vote on the next Marxist text to read.
