Why
Joining efforts across the globe, we have long advocated for Palestinian voices to be given a place on local screens here in Wooditchup. We are delighted to see those efforts come to fruition with the upcoming screening of The Voice of Hind Rajab at the Margaret River HEART.
Please join us next Tuesday to fill the cinema and show that there is a strong local demand for Palestinian stories, perspectives and cultural events in our region.

In recognition of the emotional weight of the film, we will be offering a simple grounding practice on the night, inspired by We Al-li guide to culturally informed trauma-integrated screenings.
Attendees will be welcomed with a small sprig of a locally gathered native plant, and will be invited to hold and smell the leaves throughout the film as a way of reconnecting with their bodies, the present moment and the support of Country and community that surrounds them.
We offer gratitude for the medicine and support these plants provide, and pay our deep respects to the traditional custodians of these stolen lands.
