Why
Come to Cafe Gummo on the 28th of March to celebrate Trans Day of Visibility and Vengeance!
Tickets available from Humanitix.
A fundraiser celebrating trans and gender diverse musicians in support of the Incarcerated Trans and Gender Diverse Community Fund, and RISE Refugee.
Prices are sliding scale, $15-25 with the option to make a further donation or just a donation on the tickets page.
The line up includes brat grunge Mondo Cane, burn city hardcore Destroy, radical Blak hip hop artist Racerage, grunge punk gummo staples Heterophobes and coming down from Eora/Sydney the incredible Meow Meow and the Smackouts!
This gig takes place on Wurundjeri land. The venue, bands, and attendees acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and that sovereignty was never ceded. We especially keep trans, gender-diverse, brotherboy and sistergirl Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people in our hearts.
The right to control your own body and life free from violence, poverty, and discrimination is a vital fight. Trans liberation is linked to all movements for equality and justice, including the liberation of refugees and ex-detainees.
The working class, antiracists, and antifascists should stand in solidarity with trans people as we gain strength through comradery, community, and having a bit of a dance.
