Why
We are living through great changes, and sometimes you just have to bundle the terror and wonder of it all into festive madness!
The Annual Dancing Monsters Community parade is back, inviting all to express a creative connection to the Port Adelaide/Yerta Bulti River and her inhabitants.
As a parading Monster, you can mask the human face, and adorn yourself for the parade.
Musicians and spectators are also encouraged to be part of the event.
Dance with a mask, play an instrument, sing, scream wildly, or just come and witness our only annual Monster parade.
The parade will leave from the Port Adelaide Visitor Information Centre at 7.30pm, travel along the river, and end at the Waterside Workers Federation Hall, where the rumpus can continue with more percussion and then DJ Spinster.
Also:
- This year, we'll include a homage to the Stingray, who along with so many other inhabitants of the river and sea, has been badly affected by the Algae.
- There will be Monster workshops in the weeks leading to event.
- Follow the Dancing Monsters Facebook page for updates and more information.
The 2026 Dancing Monsters Community Parade is proudly supported by grants via the Suzanne Elliott Charitable Trust and City of Port Adelaide Enfield.
