Why

In opposition to the Visit to Australia of Isaac Herzog, President of Israel, an education rally will be held on Friday February 6th from 12 to 1:30 pm outside MP Fiona Phillips Office 3/59 Junction Street, Nowra.

What We Need to Know, Why We Have a Responsibility to Act

In Gaza and on the West Bank, Herzog presides over ethnic cleansing, massacres, genocide and famine. The invitation to the head of a state responsible for genocide is immoral and wrong.

The massacre at Bondi requires a national coming together not a visit from a man who has approved the destruction of a people, who has signed bombs to be dropped on Gaza and following the Oct. 7 attack, said, ‘It's an entire nation that’s responsible.’

Instead of governments passing laws to erode free speech and the right to protest, obligations to the Genocide Convention and to the International Court of Justice should be implemented.

If international law was respected, justice for Palestine could be achieved.

Expressing Australian values in support of a common humanity and in respect for ‘social cohesion’, requires the cancellation of President Herzog's visit. Otherwise, the country lives in shame.
