Why
On 9 February, Celebrate Palestine South West will be marking our 100th walk for Palestine as we join a nationwide call to action and take to the streets to oppose the visit of Israeli President Isaac Herzog to so-called Australia.
Herzog is not a neutral figure. He represents a regime responsible for the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. He has been photographed signing bombs destined to take Palestinian lives and has explicitly justified collective punishment.

Herzog is not welcome here!
The genocide is ongoing, despite false claims in the media of a ceasefire being observed. Gaza remains under assault and Palestinians continue to be killed, displaced, and starved while our government shamefully welcomes the leader of the country inflicting this harm and violence.
We refuse silence and complicity. Keep talking about Gaza. Keep talking about Palestine. War criminals and genocide enablers are not welcome.
Bring your flags, signs and placards and join us as we stand in solidarity with Palestine. We hope you can join us on 9 February to make it clear that we will not accept business as usual in the face of genocide.
