Join us for a meaningful morning in the park, with two ways to take part - come for the creative session, the rally or stay for both.
Part 1: Creatives In The Park (8.00am-10.30am)
Settle in under the historic trees of Victoria Park and enjoy a relaxed, creative morning of art, craft and music.
- Paint a protest sign to take home
- Send a post card to federal ministers
- Cover the hill with “Patches of Hope” blankets
- Yarn bomb a tree
- Listen to live music
- Free face-painting for kids
Children must be supervised. All materials provided or bring your own if you prefer.
Part 2: Peaceful Rally (10.30am-11.30am)
From 10.30am, the morning will shift into a peaceful rally, with speeches and collective action to show strong, visible support for protecting Victoria Park.
What to bring
- Rug or chair
- Hat and sunscreen
- Water and snacks
Voluntary contribution: $10 donation or loose change for protest sign.
Families and all ages and abilities welcome.
Come for an hour or stay for the whole morning - every presence counts.
