Suzanne James talks to Professor Chris Sidoti, Member of the United Nations (UN) Commission of Inquiry, which released its report confirming Israel is committing genocide in Gaza following a two year investigation.
An internationally recognised expert in human rights law and a former Human Rights Comissioner, Sidoti covers a range of issues including Australia's obligations regarding defence contracting, handling of Australians who may have been fighting with Israel, Israel's continued unlawful occupation and settlement of Palestine, the need for sanctions and our obligations regarding refugees and aid.
They also discuss the current UN Assembly in New York and Australia's announcement there publicly recognising a Palestinian State, and whether a two-State solution is achievable.
