Why
Join us on Wednesday 7 October at 8am outside the Darwin Convention Centre for a community demonstration against the CLP Government’s eviction of YiSSA residents.
The Australian Homelessness Conference is being held in Darwin this week at the Convention Centre, with the NT Government listed as the ‘Host Government Partner’. This is the same NT Government that this week plans to evict vulnerable residents from Darwin’s YiSSA stayover facility, and relocate them over 100km away to Batchelor, where is no public transport and limited services.
The eviction of YiSSA residents must be prevented.
See you there.
