If you’re interested in these questions, come along to the Marxist Reading Group to read, discuss and debate Marx and Marxism. All welcome!
The Kaurna Yerta Marxist Reading Group is held on Wednesday evenings at 6pm. In person at the Adelaide Activist Centre or online via Zoom.

Reading
The next text we will read is Friedrich Engels’ Socialism: Utopian and Scientific. We will be reading from the Resistance Books edition 2017 (download pdf). Pre-reading is highly encouraged but not mandatory.
There are three sessions over three weeks:
- Wednesday 3 December – Introductions & Chapter I: The French Revolution and utopian socialism
- Wednesday 10 December – Chapter 2: II: Hegelian dialectics
- Wednesday 17 December – Chapter 3: The materialist conception of history and scientific socialism
Once we have completed this series we will discuss and the next Marxist text to read.
