Why
COP30 was a cop-out: the recent climate conference was dominated by fossil-fuel lobbyists, and failed to secure any commitment to cut fossil fuels, protect forests or provide adequate financial assistance to Global South countries who are bearing the brunt of global warming, despite being the lowest emitters.
It’s clear that the global capitalist class has no solutions to the climate emergency, and is in fact exacerbating the destruction of the planet.
We urgently need ecosocialist solutions to the climate crisis. Only a democratic society run by and for working and oppressed people, and puts people and the planet before profit, can be truly sustainable.
Come along to our stall to find out more about ecosocialism and how you can get involved in the fight against ecocide.
