Why
A Form 1 (Intention to hold a Public Gathering) has been lodged, and the event has been registered with Palestine Action Group as part of the nation-wide action following the March for Humanity across the Sydney Harbour Bridge on 3 August 2025.
The three demands to governments are:
- Act to stop the genocide;
- Sanction Israel now;
- End the two-way arms trade
At the Central Park event you are welcome to bring along a sign, or a graphic or poem or statement you would like to share as, after hearing from local speakers, it is planned there will be an ‘open mic’ so we can share the urgency we feel about the situation in Palestine with our local community.
What: Palestine March Armidale rally
When: 1 - 2 PM Sunday, 24th August
Where: Central Park, Armidale
The Student Activist Collective will be holding a banner making session in preparation for the rally. Bring down cardboard, canvas, paint, or other materials you'd like to use. SAC will supply a big canvas and paints.
What: Banner Making for Palestine
When: 1 PM Saturday, 23rd August
Where: Central Park, Armidale
