A colourful and dramatic 'Bee-mergency' action was held in Sydney's Hyde Park on October 8 - Day 2 of Extinction Rebellion's (XR) Spring Rebellion.

Beekeepers told climate rebels: "If the bees die, we die!'

There was a large police presence at the protest and several people were arrested for participating in acts of non-violent civil disobedience.

XR groups around the world are organising protests as part of a Week of Rebellion, which began on October 7, to demand governments declare a climate emergency.
