'Australia as a rich country should not send asylum seekers to Malaysia '

Ravindran Munusamy, a youth activist with the Socialist Party of Malaysia opposes the Gillard Australian government's plan to send asylum seekers who come to Australia to Malaysia under a new deal with that country's government.

Malaysia is not a signatory to the Refugee Convention and refugees face hardship and ill-treatment in Malaysia. He was interviewed by Duncan Roden at the Resistance Conference in Sydney on May 8, 2011.
