GEELONG — Forty people joined a rally on August 4 to protest against Israel's war on Lebanon and Palestine. The action was organised by the Geelong Anti-War Coalition, which has re-activated its networks to campaign against the war.

The protesters heard from the Socialist Alliance upper-house candidate for Western District in the November state election, who called for an immediate end to the bombing of Lebanon and demanded that the Australian government publicly condemn Israel's aggression against the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
