CANBERRA — The Democratic Socialists have announced 23-year-old Nikki Ulasowski as their candidate for the federal electorate of Canberra. Ulasowski is an active environmentalist and campaigner for women's rights. She is also the organiser of the local branch of Resistance, which is currently leading the campaign against racism. Ulasowski, together with Sue Bull, the DS candidate for Fraser, will address a public meeting on August 27, 7.30pm, at the Griffin Centre. Phone 6247 2424 for more information.
