Unionist picket Liberal Party conference

Issue 

HOBART — On August 26, 100 trade unionists protested for workers' rights outside the state Liberal Party conference. The conference was attended by workplace relations minister Kevin Andrews and PM John Howard.

Represented at the protest were the Liquor Hospitality and Miscellaneous Union; the Australian Education Union; the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union; the Electrical Trades Union; the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union; the Community and Public Sector Union; and the Health and Community Services Union.
