Terse verse

Original poetry is returning to Green Left Weekly. This announcement will be greeted with delight by the many contributors who have sent their poems into us over the last three and a half years.

The paper's Cultural Dissent pages will occasionally carry single poems when space allows. Here we publish several in order to get the ball rolling.

We hope to publish the best of the work that is submitted within the confines of layout. Selections will be made by our poetry editor.

Contributors should keep their work as short as possible and generally take up topics in line with the cultural aspirations of the paper's review pages. Preference will be given to works of less than 100 words.

Green Left Weekly will do its best to represent the range of work submitted but is not obligated to publish any material received. Good luck. May the muse be with you.
