SWAZILAND: Workers plan blockade

Issue

The Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions, backed by South Africa's trade union movement, has announced that a three-day blockade of the tiny southern African country's border crossings will begin on November 29. The goal of the action is to force King Mswati III and his government to agree to democratic reforms.

Protest letters are available at <http://www.cosatu.org.za/sftu/> that can be forwarded to the Swaziland government demanding the end repression against the country's democratic and labour movements.
