Meet at Veterans Park 11am for a march across Commonwealth Avenue Bridge to Parliament House.
January 26, 2020 marks 243 years of Survival of the First Nations people of Australia, we invite all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, and extend this invitation to our Aboriginal allies who wish to walk with us in movement of solidarity, by acknowledging our culture and paying respects to the resilience of our people, past and present. In this March, we look to demonstrate our continuous connection to the lands, water and communities. The start of the century, we must mark this occasion by acknowledging our history, in support of standing tall, proud and in unity together!
In-order to make this day one to remember, we need everyone to come together and create your own deadly banners and signs, remember to be loud and proud, the more messages the better and don’t forget to bring your koori flags, water and sunscreen!
Don’t be shame, be game! #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe!
See you mob there!
