Against war and capitalist Europe

Up to 200,000 people protested in Madrid on May 19, the culmination of a weekend of protests outside the EU-Latin American and Caribbean summit, which included 50 government leaders. Protesters marched with banners reading “Against war and the Europe of capitalism” and “No to the exploitation of Latin America” and carried Cuban and Palestinian flags. Slogans such as“Another world is possible” were chanted as demonstrators marched. The protests were organised by the Transatlantic Social Forum.
