Demonstrating the total bankruptcy of the so-called “leaders” of the Arab world, the secretary-general of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, gave an interview to Insight Magazine on April 17 which bears more than a passing resemblance to a comic skit from late night television.

While condemning Israel's war on the Palestinians, and pointing out that, “There is no peace process. Any meaningful peace process after what happened in the occupied territories? No, I don't think so. It's not serious”, Moussa refused to criticise US government support for Israel's latest brutal assault:

“Q. You mentioned in your speech Israel is getting the green light from the United States?

“A. I said it is acting under protection. They consider themselves, the Israelis, above the law. And there is foreign protection from powerful international forces, and I avoided naming names.

“Q. You were referring to the United States?

“A. I am going to continue to avoid naming names.”
