Radio Skid Row-Koori Radio 2RSR-FM radiothon — From November 27 until December 4, Sydney's inner city public radio station 2RSR-FM (88.9) is holding its annual radiothon. Radiothon week will feature extra special programming, give-aways and prizes for new subscribers. Every day at 5 p.m. a live to air concert from some of Sydney's boldest bands will be broadcast. Women on the Line presents Working Women — Melbourne's 3CR (885-AM) continues its series on the work of Australian women in the '90s. Every Wednesday, 5.30 p.m. until December 22 (repeated every Monday at 10 a.m.). The Coming Out Show — $3.27 an hour is all some waitresses and cafe staff are being paid for their work ... if they are paid at all. Margaret El-Chami looks at trial periods and under-award wages, illegal practices in the catering and hospitality industries. Also investigated is sexist bias in scientific research, with a team of North Americans who have found evidence about how women have been ignored in the testing of drugs, studies of disease and setting of safe levels of toxic material.
