Radio Gratis

Independent. Local. Queer.

<http://www.radiogratisonline.org>

At last! The Blue Mountains' first and only queer community radio station is here. Radio Gratis will be intrepidly venturing into issues relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trasgender identifying and queer (LGBTIQ) listeners in the Penrith, Blue Mountains & Lithgow regions of NSW through the medium of spoken word. Radio Gratis utilises the latest technology to webcast its weekly radio programs over the internet.

No need to tune in at a particular time; utilising the latest technology Radio Gratis's weekly radio programs are available on demand from the website — so you can listen at your leisure. Not only can Radio Gratis be heard online but is also easily downloadable onto your Mp3 player.

Our very first program is currently available in which Radio Gratis's Community Profile segment has a conversation with Community Action Against Homophobia Blue Mountains co-convener Karl Hand. Our Feature looks into the issue of queer refugees and asylum seekers when we interview queer refugee activist Simon Biber. These programs are interspersed with the Radio Gratis Media Roundup, the Community Notice Board, and a little bit of music. We hope you'll tune in!
