PSU Challenge in SA

The position of assistant branch secretary of the Public Sector Union in South Australia is being contested by the PSU Challenge, the first time this position has been contested for some time.

Barry Cockram, a workplace and branch conference delegate from the Department of Social Security, will be standing against Steve Lewis, who currently holds the position.

Cockram will be standing on a platform that includes: no job cuts; defence and extension of the public sector; real wage justice and improved conditions, not agency bargaining; and the return of union power to the members, to greatly increase the internal democracy within the union.

For more information, or to get involved in the PSU Challenge campaign, call Barry on 274 8487 or Rob Graham on 237 8049.
