Protest against abuses in Western Sahara

Issue

SYDNEY — On October 20, the Australia Western Sahara Association held a protest outside NSW Parliament House, addressed by, among others, the Polisario representative in Australia and AWSA president Nick O'Neill. Unions NSW secretary John Robertson sent a message offering the NSW union movement's "ongoing commitment and support for the Saharawi people in their campaign for independence" from Moroccan occupation. NSW deputy premier John Watkins met a group from the rally afterwards.
