Independent Citizens Against Apartheid protested in Martin Place on May 7 with a presentation condemning Israel’s use of starvation as a weapon against the people of Gaza.

More than 100 people attended the “Feed Gaza, stop the famine, stop the genocide” action, before marching to the New South Wales Parliament. People chanted “Break the siege; Let Gaza live!”

“Israel has officially stopped the flow of food aid into Gaza. Thousands of Palestinians have already starved to death. Starvation is being used as collective punishment,” a speaker said. “Israel and the US are war criminals. The Australian government is also responsible for these war crimes. Behind this Israeli depravity lies the support of the West. Our taxes are going toward funding this Zionist project.”

Outside parliament, one protester was arrested for attempting to chain herself to a gate.
