One Nation ordered to repay $500,000

BRISBANE — Pauline Hanson's One Nation has been ordered to repay $500,000 in electoral funding, currently frozen in the party's bank account.

The Court of Appeal ruled on March 10 that One Nation had falsely claimed to have the minimum 500 members needed to register as a political party in Queensland. Former One Nation candidate Terry Sharples, who mounted the court action, said the decision meant the party was politically "as dead as a duck".
