NAIDOC rally demands land rights

Five hundred people rallied and marched on July 10 in Melbourne to celebrate NAIDOC week. The theme of NAIDOC 2009 was Honouring Our Elders, Nurturing Our Youth.

The march stopped at some major intersections and outside State Parliament to demand land rights and raise awareness about injustice perpetrated against Indigenous Australians.

The march ended at Federation Square with speakers, traditional dances and music.
