Several hundred people, mostly from the Myanmar community, marched from Martin Place to Sydney Town Hall on May 1 where they held a vigil for the martyrs to the democracy struggle in that country. The march and vigil were part of the Global Myanmar Spring Revolution Day activities that combined mass mobilisations in cities and towns in Myanmar with solidarity actions around the world.
