MELBOURNE — Jack Thomas, a 31-year-old former taxi driver facing charges under the federal government's "anti-terrorism laws", won a significant victory on March 15 when the prosecution's appeal against Thomas's bail was thrown out of court. Thomas will return to court on March 22-23 for his committal hearing.

On March 15, 120 people attended a public meeting organised by the Justice for Jack campaign. Defence lawyer Rob Stary told meting that "without public vigilance Jack probably wouldn't be here — he would probably be in Guantanamo Bay".

The meeting was followed by a fundraiser organised by local band Frankenbok on March 18. For future events look up <http://www.justice4jack.com>.
