IWD live to air on 2SER-FM

SYDNEY — As women take to the streets of Sydney on Saturday, March 7 — International Women's Day — community radio 2SER-FM (107.3) will take to the airwaves between 11am and 5pm to present a unique day of broadcasting.

Produced by a team of volunteers, the broadcast will celebrate the diversity of women's lives and women's role, particularly indigenous women, in bringing about peace and reconciliation. Throughout the day there will be live performances from female artists, interviews, poetry readings, and regular updates from the march.

The broadcast is unique in that it's produced solely by women for women. It brings together a diverse range of talents and provides a creative forum where ordinary women are given the opportunity to tell their extraordinary stories.

2SER-FM is jointly owned by the University of Technology, Sydney, and Macquarie University, and broadcasts on 107.3. For more information, phone Jo White on 9850 7642.
