ISRAEL: Crackdown on student dissent

Left-wing students contesting student union elections at Jerusalem University have had their stalls shut down and leaflets confiscated y campus security, as well as a staff supporter sacked. The Student Social front ticket, which includes Palestinian and Israeli students, say that the actions of university management in the election mean that only state-sanctioned groups can organise on campus.
