The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People was marked by Justice for Palestine Meanjin — Brisbane with a giant flag drop from the Goodwill Bridge over the Meanjin (Brisbane River).

Activists from around the world — including this year at the World Cup in Qatar — marked the UN-recognised day with solidarity actions.

This year, the day marks the 75th anniversary of the partition of Palestine in 1947.

Activists flew a giant Aboriginal flag alongside the Palestinian flag to highlight the unceded lands of the Jagera and Turrbal people and that decolonisation remains a focus in Palestine and Australia.
