Buffalo Music: benefit for East Timor

MELBOURNE — Buffalo Music, a six-hour musical spectacular to promote solidarity with the people of East Timor, will be held at Trades Hall on May 1.

The concert features the Natural Mystic, Painters and Dockers, David Bridie, the Brolga Boys, Sike, Good for Nothing, Jimi Hocking, Greg Arnold, Agnostino, Mach Pelican, Rai Abut, the Shine, Soukous Ba Congo, Paul Kelly, Milton White, Grace Eliot, Blackfire, Rebecca Barnard, Propaganda Klann and Crawfish Dave.

Money raised will help poor East Timorese buy water buffaloes to plough fields for crops of rice, the staple food. Water buffalo herds have been decimated by war and hunger.

The concert will be broadcast live on the internet at <http://www.freetimor.com>. For more information, phone Donna on 9415 7117.
