Brandon Astor Jones' trial

The resentencing trial of Green Left Weekly columnist Brandon Astor Jones in Georgia last week ended with Brandon being sentenced to be executed between November 3 and 10.

Brandon's attorney, Tony Axam, has announced plans to appeal against the decision. Australians Against Executions, which has been raising funds for Brandon's defence, will also be campaigning politically to save Jones' life.

Readers who are able to help by contributing time or money to the defence should contact Australians Against Executions, PO Box 640, Milson's Point NSW 2061. Fax (02) 9427 9489. Cheques can be made payable to "Brandon Astor Jones Defence Fund".
