The Battle of Chile — Part 2: The Coup d'Etat. This episode of the epic documentary opens with the attempted military coup of June 1973 put down by troops loyal to the government. Includes footage of the September 11 coup d'etat, with President Salvadore Allende's last radio messages to the people of Chile, footage of the military assault on the presidential palace, and that evening's televised presentation of the new military junta. Evolution: Darwin's Dangerous Idea — Seven-part series explores the profound effect of evolutionary science on world society and culture. SBS, Sunday November 11, 8.30pm.

The Atomic Republic — Traces the rise of nuclear military might in Iran and looks at a clandestine arrangement with France which provided Iran with enriched uranium and examines international relations in the Near and Middle East. SBS, Wednesday, November 14, 8.30pm.

Red Chapters: A Fatal Stroke — Focuses on the events surrounding the death of Lenin. A twist of fate robbed him of his speech and gave Stalin an opportunity to ruthlessly manoeuvre his way into power. SBS, Thursday November 15, 1.30pm.
