Last Battle of the Gulf War — In 1991, hundreds of thousands of US soldiers returned home from the Gulf War. Within months, many veterans began to report distressing symptoms, including fatigue, joint pain, memory loss and insomnia. Before long the media had christened the condition Gulf War Syndrome.
