Bosnian women refugees in Australia

The International Women's Development Agency in Sydney will be hosting a meeting organised to allow Bosnian women survivors of the war to speak about their experiences in escaping their country and their life in refugee camps.

The meeting, planned for September 8, will feature a panel of women refugees speaking on their experiences both before and during the war. One of the speakers, Jasmina Bajrktarevic, has worked as a counsellor, in Croatia and now in Sydney, with survivors of trauma and torture.

The meeting will be held at 61 Watkins Street, Newtown, between 6.30 and 9.30pm. Attendees are urged to contact Cecily Michaels (IWDA), phone 264 1481, to facilitate catering or for more information.
