SYDNEY — Broken Glass, the 1995 Olivier Award-winning play by US dramatist Arthur Miller, is now being presented by the Sydney Theatre Company. Set in New York in 1938, it is a psychological and family drama which meshes with events on the world stage, in particular the persecution of German Jews by the Nazis. Overwork and a touch of the flu prevented our reviewer from getting to the performance, but it's hard to imagine the combination of this company and this dramatist producing anything less than a great night out. Directed by Michael Gow, Broken Glass plays at the Opera House until September 21, then at the Seymour Centre until October 19, then at Lismore Town Hall, October 24-26.
