Justice for Palestine Magan-djin (JFP) is proud to bring together Antoun Issa, Max Chandler-Mather, and Dung Tran for a critical discussion on the current state of politics and what defiance and hope look like for those who refuse to be silenced.

Moderated by Remah Naji, the conversation will range from grassroots resistance and the media's role in a democracy under strain, to practical, actionable hope that attendees can carry with them long after the event ends.

Albion Peace Centre is a single-story wheelchair accessible community centre in the inner north suburb of Windsor, with ramp access from McDonald Road and one wheelchair accessible bathroom. The centre is 230 metres along flat footpaths from Albion Train Station, which is accessible via the Shorncliffe, Doomben, Cleveland, Airport and Varsity Lakes train lines.

This discussion takes place as JFP challenges the Queensland Government in the High Court, fighting to overturn the repressive laws that target the Palestine movement. This case sets a precedent in Australia’s history as the first attempt to outlaw specific words.
