We must call out the genocide in Gaza and protect free speech. Queenslanders who use the phrase “from the river to the sea” face up to two years’ imprisonment after the QLD LNP government outlawed the slogan frequently chanted by pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
It is a call for freedom and dignity for all individuals living within the lands stretching from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. It is a call for equality in the region, regardless of background, faith, or nationality.
We will be raising funds for pro-Palestinian activists arguing in the high court that the ban amounts to a discriminatory and unconstitutional infringement on free speech.
