Why

We invite you to join us for IPAN’s 2026 national conference in Adelaide this July

On Friday 24 July you can participate in

  • an early morning protest outside the ALP national Conference,
  • followed at 1:00pm by a 90 minute boat trip to explore the AUKUS nuclear submarine construction facility as well as the beautiful environment of the rive to be disturbed by that facility.
  • On Friday evening a major public meeting with US film maker Abby Martin, exert researcher on US bases in Australia Richard Tanter, Indigenous Elder and activist Sue Haseldine, and Greens foreign policy spokesperson David Shoebridge

On Saturday 25 and and Sunday 26, the conference proper – “It’s Time to Break Free From the US”.

This will be a unique opportunity to learn and organise with others who are working for peace and Australian independence. International and domestic speakers on geopolitics and critics of the US war machine and its influence in Australia will share up-to-date analysis, while campaigners from across the country come together to build a mass movement for peace and independence.
With genocide an ongoing reality and the scope of war growing and affecting every aspect of our lives, this conference will help prepare us all to take the peace movement to the next level.

Tickets available from HumanitixSelect each event you want to attend at checkout - the Public Meeting, the Boat trip, and the conference proper are separate fees.
