Join us this Ramadan for an exciting charity football tournament that brings together sport, community and giving in support of Sudanese families displaced in Uganda. Enjoy competitive 5-a-side matches as teams compete for the Badr Cup, with a tournament winner crowned on the night - all while supporting a vital humanitarian cause.

The tournament is organised by SA Sudanese Youth in partnership with Nakisa Hashemi as part of a Ramadan fundraising initiative, with all funds raised through player registrations and attendee tickets directed towards urgent humanitarian relief.
Since 2023, the crisis in Sudan has forced millions to flee into neighbouring countries, where many families now live in overcrowded refugee settlements with limited access to food, healthcare, and stability. Proceeds from this event will be donated through Nakisa’s LaunchGood campaign in collaboration with Droplets of Mercy USA, an organisation dedicated to direct, grassroots humanitarian aid with a strong commitment to accountability and transparency.
The event will open at 4:45pm, with kick-off at 5:15pm sharp, and the tournament will conclude before Iftar at 7:45pm.
To ensure a welcoming and accessible experience for all, Asr, Maghrib and Isha prayers will be held at the venue, allowing attendees to break their fast and pray together. The evening will also feature a range of food and dessert stalls, drinks, henna and other vendors, creating a vibrant community atmosphere for friends, families and supporters.
