* * *
March is heavy for us.
Last year, in March 2025, our community reported an increase in Australian Border Force raids across Melbourne. One brothel was raided twice in a single week.
We know that raids do not make us safer. They are racist and anti-immigrant. They target Asian migrant workers and sex workers of colour.
They isolate us.
They attempt to silence us.
At the same time, we are still grieving the loss of our sisters.
Every lantern we make will be brought to the court. Every lantern says that our lives matter. Asian migrant sex workers deserve dignity, safety, and equal value.
Stop the violence
Stop the raids on our workplaces.
We gather the day before court to make sure our sisters are not alone and to show that our community is watching.
We stand together.
See you there.
